«El Zaratán», mythological tale by Juan Ramón Jiménez, recovered by E. Niebla

For many years "The Zaratán", mythological story written by the poet from Mogue Juan Ramon Jimenez, was discontinued and therefore withdrawn from commercial channels. Up to now! The Huelva publishing house Niebla along with the Juan Ramón Jiménez Foundation, has managed to recover the book and put it on sale again.

"The Zaratán" is a mythological tale of juvenile genre which was published in the year 1946 in Mexico, and until now its rights only belonged to Carmen Hernández Pinzón, who owns all the rights to the works of Nobel JR Jiménez.

In addition to this great story, which will occupy 74 pages approximately, they have also managed to recover Artwork that accompany the text, original engravings by Alberto Beltrán, with designs by Enrique Montaner. According to Editorial Niebla itself, it was intended with this «To bring to light again a sample of the poet's literature, who knew how to transfer to his stories, through an eternal creative purification, the most significant characteristics of his lyric, and in this way give form and meaning to the scraps of his memory and the snapshots of his imagination, which mark the pages of this volume.

One of the characteristics of the stories and other works that Juan Ramón Jiménez wrote is that he did not like the prologues, from what we imagine, that the new Zaratan will not have a prologue either. Not in the catalog yet online from the publisher but we think that it will soon appear as has already done another book closely related to Juan Ramón Jiménez, "Zenobia's kitchen", who was the poet's wife. It is a book written by Pepi Gallinato Ollero and María José Blanco Garrido, who have collected numerous Zenobia recipes that were found in the funds of the University of Puerto Rico. In total there are 158 recipes, 102 in Spanish and 56 in English, ideal for those readers who, in addition to liking literature, also like cooking.
