Tomorrow is published "Today is bad, but tomorrow is mine" by Salvador Compán

Salvador Compan along with the Espasa Editorial presents us tomorrow the publication of his new book "Today is bad, but tomorrow is mine", a novel set in the 60s. It is a story of high density and rich in both writing and reflections on the past. It analyzes the lives of characters with a family relationship and with a lot of emotional weight, narrating everything with great literary taste.

Official synopsis

Daza, Jaén, sixties: the drawing teacher Vidal Lamarca, lonely and hermetic, is a man who, since the end of the war, carries the unbearable weight of a betrayal. Until, unexpectedly, the dull flow of days, punctuated by boredom and guilt, falls apart with the irruption into his life of Rosa, a complex and audacious woman. Clandestine and passionate, the romance between Vidal and Rosa will be the trigger that will remove a past that, until that moment, seemed immovable.
For Pablo Suances, a sensitive and restless adolescent, the town begins to become too small for him, although he enthusiastically lives the drawing classes he receives from Vidal Lamarca. Vidal's students are also Raúl Colón, a friend of
Pablo, and his mother Rosa Teba, a woman from the north who is infinitely bored in Daza, and with whom Vidal begins an idyll. Pablo, an unexpected witness of this adulterous romance, begins to know the world of his elders, full of secrets and guilt that simmer in the routine of provincial life until they lead to unusual
acts of violence or audacity whose trigger must be sought three decades ago.
This novel is set in an imaginary town of Jaén, Daza, an acronym composed with the words Úbeda and Baeza and, consequently, in a narrative space that comes to be a physical fusion of both (two very close towns that could be a single city bipolar). It takes place between 1936, at the beginning of the Civil War, and 1966, the year in which an attempt was made to celebrate a totally unsuccessful tribute to Antonio Machado in the town.
