The best works of Stephen King

Such a day as today, but of the year 1947, was born Stephen King, one of the masters of horror genre. Years ago, his books were on the best-seller lists for a long time, so we can talk about the quality of many of his works.

In tribute to this great writer and his great literary career, we leave you with what we consider to be the best works of Stephen King. As in any other art, it is something very subjective, so you may not agree with us on all the titles, but at least we hope you enjoy remembering these great horror books.

"The dance of death" (1978) or also known in its reissued version as "Apocalypse" (1990)

This story tells how a flu virus, artificially created as a possible bacteriological weapon, spreads through the United States and causes the death of millions of people. The survivors have common dreams, in which an old woman and a young man appear. The old woman encourages them to travel to Nebraska to fight Randall Flagg, an abominable character who embodies the forces of evil and possesses a nuclear arsenal.

"It" (1986)

Very topical for the film that is in theaters today, this work by Stephen King has been one of the most recreated and remembered by all.

Who or what mutilates and kills the children of a small American town? Why does horror come cyclically to Derry in the form of a sinister clown wreaking destruction in its wake? This is what the protagonists of this novel set out to find out.

After twenty-seven years of tranquility and distance, an old childhood promise makes them return to the place where they lived their childhood and youth like a terrible nightmare. They return to Derry to face their past and finally bury the threat that embittered them during their childhood. They know that they can die, but they are aware that they will not know peace until that thing is destroyed forever.

"The Green Mile" (1999)

the best works of Stephen King

October 1932, Cold Mountain Penitentiary. Those sentenced to death await the moment to be led to the electric chair. The heinous crimes they have committed make them the bait of a legal system that feeds on a cycle of madness, death and revenge. And in that prelude to hell Stephen King draws a terrifying X-ray of horror in its purest form.

These are the 3 books that I have liked the most by Stephen King of all his that I have read so far. Do you agree with me? What are your three favorites of this author?
