In it, we see how Captain Ahab is in command of the whaling ship "Pequod". On a trip whose mission was to hunt whales, the crew of the ship learn that the captain has a goal that he has been obsessively pursuing for some time: to kill a specific white whale, the one that years ago tore off his leg. Ahab is willing to sacrifice his life, that of the crew and the entire ship to kill that white whale.

"Fahrenheit 451" (1966)

The film takes place in a future city (which would not be far from being the current one), where the state prohibits books. The firefighters, with the help of informants (snitches), are in charge of searching, finding and burning all that book hidden in the city. The only information that the population knows is that transmitted through their televisions. Guy Montag is a firefighter who begins to question the function of his trade and his actions in society after falling in love with a young woman, Clarisse, who leads him to be curious about reading and, consequently, to contempt for his superiors.

The title of Fahrenheit 451, equivalent to 232 degrees Celsius, refers to the temperature at which the paper burns.

"The Summer of Picasso" (1969)

This film is based on a writing made by Bradbury in 1969, directed by Serge Bourguignon and Robert Sallyn.

In it we see how a couple established in San Francisco, George and Alice Smith, get bored and run away from their pretentious monotony in the city. They both fall in love with the works painted by the artist Pablo Picasso and they decide to make a trip to Europe to meet him.

"The Illustrated Man" (1969)

"The carnival of darkness" (1983)

Mr. Dark is the one who wears said circus, the boss, who has a tattoo for each individual who serves him in the different circus shows. Mr. Dark promises to make all of anyone's dreams come true, doesn't he?

In addition to all these films, Ray Bradbury, wrote scripts for various chapters of the television series «Alfred Hitchcock Presents » and his book "Martian Chronicles" ended up being adapted to a mini-series.
