This year, life and work of Anne Frank is giving enough to talk about. On Actualidad Literatura, over the months we have echoed some news that was coming out about the most famous girl, unfortunately, of the Nazi holocaust. If you especially like the news of Anne Frank and want to be up to date, you can visit these other articles of ours:

Also, a few days ago, we learned that there was auctioned a poem by Anne Frank for nothing less than $140.000. The poem, as we have been informed, would have been written some months before the young Jewish woman and her family went into hiding in the city of Amsterdam to escape the Nazis. This auction was held in Holland, by the auction house known as Bubb Kuyper (specialized in selling books, illustrations, maps, manuscripts and everything related to the beautiful art of writing). The push started at 30.000 euros, starting price, until finally being bought by an anonymous buyer at 140.000 euros.

The poem is written in the Dutch language and dates from March 28th 1942. This writing was preserved in the collection of poems by Jacqueline Van Maarsen, sister of whom it was actually dedicated and directed, Christiane Van Maarsen.

Of the 8 verses containing the poem, the first four were copied by Anne Frank of a text published in the magazine "Het Ros Beiaard" ("The Red Carillon"). Anne Frank continued that poem to complete it with the total of 8 verses.

We must remember that one of the latest controversies around the life of the girl is that it was not really she who wrote the entirety of her book "Diary of Anne Frank", but it was her father Otto, who did.
