On a day like today, November 29 but in the year 1832, Louisa May Alcott, the author of the famous television novel by «Little women».

Louisa May Alcott, like many other writers of the time, had to write under a pseudonym, in this case hers was AM Barnard, and under it he would write a series of novels that dealt with various taboo subjects for the time such as incest or adultery.

In contrast to his novel «Little women» published in 1868, he would later write, specifically three years later, another work entitled "Little men" which was published in 1871. If the first was inspired by her and the lives of her sisters, that is, it had something of an autobiography, the second, that of "Little men" it was inspired by the lives of her nephews.

These two works, along with another titled "Jo's Boys and How They Became: A Sequel to Little Men », They were the most notable of the North American author, however, she wrote many more:

«Little women» Louisa May Alcott's famous work is based on the full text of the first edition of 1868, with the addition of many paragraphs that were suppressed in later versions. The novel tells the story of the March sisters, four young girls who lived in a New England town while civil war raged across America. Almost one hundred and fifty years have passed since that distant 1868, but the complicity of Meg, Beth, Amy and Jo with the other women has not died.
