My 3 books to read in the fall

My 3 books to read in the fall

Autumn started a few days ago and I already have my list of 3 books to read at this station. I would like to be able to read more but the time now is not that I am over so for now I will have to settle for three in addition to finishing with the one I am right now and the one I "played" with in my previous article. The people who commented, they got it right! Yes, it was the book of Clarissa Pinkola Estes, «Women who run with the wolves». I really like it and it is being very clarifying at times.

Of this book I will have about 100 pages approximately, and I already have in mind which one will be the next one and which ones will follow this one. If you want to know what they are my 3 books to read in the fall, keep reading.

"The same compass" by David Olivas

I don't know if the title and the author are familiar to you, but until relatively recently I was unaware of this young writer. It was thanks to Twitter that I saw his profile and I could read that this is his second book and that he already published a previous one entitled "Serendipity". I have never read anything of his but the book "The same compass" is calling out to me ...

Surely I bought it in an ebook version, because space is scarce for me almost as much as time and if you want I can make a review of it when I finish it.

Synopsis

This is the story of Adolfo and Eduardo, two twin brothers who, despite their resemblance, are completely different. Feelings will work their way between fear and courage to teach us if we are really ready to love even if it is not the person we expected.

David Olivas invites us on a journey through which we go through part of our youth, sentimental doubts, love and courage, all with the same destiny: to solve our own questions.

"The End of Solitude" by Benedict Wells (1984)

This German writer won the European Literature Prize in 2016 with this novel. It is edited by Editorial Malpaso and has a price of 23 euros.

His synopsis particularly catches my attention. What do you think? As an extra piece of information, it will not be published until the day October 27. We will have to wait!

Synopsis

Since his parents died in an accident, Jules has become a child who lives locked in his own world as long as Alva, with his red hair and shell glasses, does not sit next to him. Alva will be his only great love, although they both can't quite find the courage to tell her. Their destinies, marked by a difficult childhood "that affects like an invisible enemy when least expected", intertwine with those of Jules' brothers.

A great love story that goes beyond the love felt by its protagonists. It is love of writing, art, music, and ultimately life. A learning novel from the young star of the German literary scene.

"A Cry of Love from the Center of the World" by Kyoichi Katayama

Hand in hand Alfaguara This novel is republished, which according to them is the most widely read Japanese novel of all time. It was published in Spain for the first time in 2008 and since then it has surpassed the great Haruki Murakami in sales.

I, perhaps because of my great admiration for Murakami's writing, have resisted reading this author, until now! I can't take it anymore and I want not only to read this story that has so many reviews but also to observe the similarities and differences that may exist between the two Japanese authors.

Synopsis

Sakutarô and Aki meet at a school in a provincial city in Japan. He is a witty and sarcastic teenager. She is smart, beautiful, and popular. They soon become inseparable friends, until one day, Sakutarô sees Aki with different eyes, and the complicit friendship is transformed into a rapturous passion. Both live a story capable of disrupting the senses and erasing the boundaries between life and death.

And you, do you already have the list with the readings that will accompany you this fall?
