Gijón, an exceptional setting for the Black Week, one of the most renowned festivals in Europe.

Today, with the departure of the Black Train from Chamartín station at 11.48:XNUMX in the morning, Gijón Black Week begins. It will be the edition number thirty-one of the classic meeting of black novel authors. Accompanied as always by a lot of music and conferences on various topics, one hundred writers will share fun and reading with the public among the July 6 and 15.

They can not miss lthe most famous writers of the black genre in Castilian like Berna González Harbor, Blue Jeans, Alicia Giménez-Bartlett, Jorge Eduardo Benavides, Lorenzo Silva, Juan Madrid or Marta Robles. There is also room for new promises of the genre, less known, for now, that are part of our list of favorites, such as Rosa Valle, Ana Ballabriga or David Zaplana; all of them will be part of the Black Week space dedicated to self-published.

The topics:

This edition of the Black Week of Gijón will have as star themes: the thriller, the Basque crime novel, the journalistic investigation as opposed to the police investigation and the comic of female authors.

The show:

The event, as always, will be a show in itself: concerts of Spanish music, in this edition with a tribute concert to the Asturian Tino Casa, book fair, markets, terraces and fair attractions to bring the crime novel to the more than one million visitors expected in the Asturian city.

The environment:

A week that lasts ten days and that from a meeting for a few has become one of the main European festivals, it is an appointment not to be missed and, since we are there, to enjoy the landscapes, the beaches, the gastronomy, the Asturian cider and the sympathy of the people of a land that is, by nature, a paradise.

Crime fiction, nature in its purest form, spectacle and good food, what more could you ask for? Enjoy it, weeks!
