'Convénzeme', literary program presented by Mercedes Milá

It has been on the air since November and still survives, rare for a program related to books here in Spain where what is most abundant are 'reality' (although good, "Page 2" it is still being recorded after years, maybe something is changing for the better in our country ... Maybe ...).

"Convince me" is a presenting by the journalist Mercedes Milá, who said the following about this: «There are moments, reading a book, that those of us who like to read, need to stop, take a deep breath and say: how lucky I am that this author exists! This is when you want to share your happiness with someone, recommend them, convince them to read it. That moment has come for me. After wishing that my bosses would ever commission me to do a book program on television, that dream never achieved seems to have arrived.

In addition to being a new book program, as far as I know there are only two currently on our television, its novelty is that it is the first open program in our country produced with 4G mobile phones. We can find it every Sunday on the chain Be mad, which is primarily aimed at a urban public, commercial, intrepid and with cultural concerns.

What is it about?

In each broadcast of 'Convince me', Readers talk to Mercedes Milá at the + Bernat bookstore in Barcelona, trying to convince her (hence the title of the program) of why one has to read certain books, why others are not worth it, why read so much literature Classical as contemporary, of all kinds of genres and narratives, making a review of the stories posed by the books, analyzing the trajectory of their authors and exposing in first person what feelings their reading has generated in them.

In addition to running this program, Mercedes Milá continues to bet on literature with the launch of the campaign promoted by herself "Let's save the bookstores" www.salvemoslaslibrerias.com. Where it is tried to protect especially the neighborhood bookstores, which many have had to close their doors due to the low purchase of books that has always occurred in this country and the boom in web pages dedicated to the sale of them.
