A crown of golden bones —The Crown of Gilded Bones, in English— is the third book in the saga Of Blood and Ashes —title of the first installment- a fantasy-romance series written by prolific American author Jennifer L. Armentrout. The first volume was originally published in 2020 by Blue Box Press. In May 2022 it was published in Spanish by the Puck publishing house.
The second book in the series is A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire —A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire— (2020) while the fourth bears the name The War of the Two Queens —The War of Two Queens—(2022). The fifth and sixth volumes are A Soul of Ash and Blood (2023) and The Primal of Blood and Bone (2024), respectively. None of them have a title in Spanish at the moment.
Brief summary of the first two books in the series

The story follows Poppy, the young woman who from birth was chosen by the Gods. By tradition, the protagonist cannot be seen or touched. She must remain pure to fulfill her destiny., and is subject to many restrictions. Her parents died when she was very young, but despite all this she is a curious girl, brave and secretly trained to fight.
One day, fed up with her confinement, poppy She decides to leave the castle where they keep her and goes to La Perla Roja, a bar in the town. Over there meet a sexy guard named Hawke, whom he has seen train several times. He confronts her and makes her rethink her life., which makes Poppy yearn for freedom like never before. From then on both face a fantastic political system full of secrets.
A Kingdom of Flesh and Fire
At the end of the first book, Poppy discovers that Hawke is an Atlantean prince named Casteel, and that his mission is to rescue his brother —who is a prisoner in that kingdom. All the stories that the protagonist knows are a lie, and this includes her own destiny as "The Maiden". The leaders of Poppy's kingdom are creatures that steal the blood of the Atlanteans to maintain their immortality. To do this, they capture these beings and force them to serve them.
In the middle of his mission, Casteel falls in love with Poppy and she with him - even though she refuses to plunge him. However, the heat of the war between the two kingdoms prevents them from concentrating on their relationship. Also, there are still too many questions regarding who the leading lady really is and why people seem so interested in her.

After all of her adventures with Casteel she proved to herself and everyone that she is capable of helping her fiancée find her kidnapped brother of hers, and find out where hers is.
The consequences of this search leave both protagonists in irreconcilable positions with respect to the beings that were at the beginning of the saga. Poppy is the one the true queen of the throne of Atlantia, daughter of one of the primeval Gods. La corona belongs to her, but she is not sure she wants it.
A risky choice
After inquiries and convoluted events, Poppy needs to choose between the crown that is rightfully hers or becoming the Queen of Flesh and Fire.. Even so, as the plot progresses, more dark secrets are revealed. The protagonist is aware that an evil from the past seems to want to return with much more force, which could prevent her from taking over and put her life and the lives of the people she loves at risk.
However, before facing these terrors they must visit the current Queen of Blood and Ash, who harbors plans of her own for war. that's when Poppy and Casteel face an impossible task: awaken the King of the Gods and borrow his guards. to end the conflict.
