editorial-news

Good morning to everybody! Today, Monday, I want to present some of the editorial news that will flood the bookstores of our country this week. As always, I have tried to compile novels for all kinds of people, among them you can find a thriller, a juvenile novel and a story for those who like to think about the consequences and the meaning of life.

"The proper name of happiness is a contemporary fairy tale with an honest, innocent and optimistic protagonist that you will adore from the first page"

"A God in Ruins" by Kate Atkinson

Lumen - June 2 - 592 pages

In this novel, Kate Atkinson recovers one of the most endearing characters in her novel "Once and Again", little Teedy Todd, making us contemplate the passing of his life, his loss of innocence and seeing his pain.

In "A God in Ruins", the author observes the war and explores its consequences not only from the perspective of the people who live it but of subsequent generations. From the hands of Teddy Todd, a man who faces war, shows us the fear of facing a future that was not expected.

“The great British author offers a magnificent portrait of some of the most representative episodes of the XNUMXth century; that subtly intertwine with the family intrigues and the little stories of its protagonists.

Poxl West's Last Flight - Daniel Torday

Random House Literature - June 2 - 304 pages

For young Elijah Golsdstein, barely fifteen years old, Uncle Poxl West, a hero of World War II, represents the courage and the idol he has always revered. After the publication of Uncle Poxl's memoirs, which includes the best episodes in his history, Eliah feels very proud. However, as the months go by, the autobiography reaches the top sellers and Poxl becomes a celebrity. It will be from then on when Elijah begins to glimpse what is hidden behind the image of an invincible superhero: a man of flesh and blood.

"The Last Flight of Poxl West" is a story that explores the meaning of being a hero, that tells us about the truths that we tell ourselves and those that we tell the rest of the world, about the need to find heroes.

These have been some of the novelties that I have managed to collect, although I have no doubt that there will be magnificent works that are not listed here. Has any of them caught your attention?
