I have recently read Today something very beast happened to me, Daniel Estorach, a promising writer who has introduced his work to the literary world through Norma. This is the first book in a future saga about heroes.
Synopsis:

I think the first point to consider about the work Today something very beast happened to me it is based on it being a different story. In addition, although the book has been written in a quieter time than now on a political and social level, it connects very well with the reality that surrounds us, with that need for people on the street to fight for a much fairer world and less corrupt. Perhaps that has made it easier for the author to get into the minds of readers, outraged citizens at the situation that is marking our time.
It is appreciated that the author provides us with an easy and pleasant reading. Personally, I have a special predilection for blogs and the fact that the book is practically based on a blog has made it easier for me to get into the argument.
It is an easy book to read, but in some moments it is profound, thanks to some reflections made by the protagonist. You are full of thoughts about what is happening to you at the moment, a profound change that is difficult to accept, and most importantly, difficult to incorporate into your daily life. It also investigates topics such as love or friendship.
I think that the part in which the character has to combine his task as a superhero with his work life is also well resolved, something that is not usually dealt with in stories about superheroes. Daniel, the protagonist with powers, has to eat like any normal person.
The rest of the characters evolve well throughout the book. And due to this favorable introduction that the author offers us with a saga that will comprise three titles, one wants to see what the next story will be like.
In short, a fast and easy to read book, as well as entertaining. A different and current story.
Biography:
Daniel Estorach Martin He was born in Barcelona on the first day of 1975 and spent his childhood and adolescence in Vilassar de Mar, a quiet town on the Mediterranean coast. At 23 he became independent and lived a long time in the capital Barcelona, where he enjoyed and learned about life in the big city.
He currently lives with his wife, daughter, and two cats in Vilassar de Mar, and makes a living in the field of communication and as a graphic designer and illustrator.
His great vocation is and has always been to tell stories and, finally, he has decided to try his luck with the trilogy Chronicles of an urban hero that we present here, in which he has been working for three years.
In addition, in parallel to the writing of volumes 2 and 3 of this series, he wrote another online novel called Aeternites, and is the General Coordinator of the Literature 2.0 project Heroes Time, a project that was born with the intention of expanding the universe born in Today something very beast happened to me.
