Fifteen years after the tragedy, the bookstore where Eric works receives an order for a short story signed by Anne Austen, "The Lake Murders." From the moment Eric holds that book in his hands, he knows he has opened a door that cannot be closed until the whole truth is discovered.
This time, Eric is determined to return to that town and literally face the ghosts of the past. But Swanton has a little surprise for him, history repeats itself. With the help of a seer and the sheriff, Eric will investigate until the end to discover what this cursed town is hiding.
With "The crimes of the lake" Herrero manages to catch the reader from the first to the last page. An intriguing plot, full of doubts and mystery worthy of any Stephen Kin bookg. The characters are very worked and are consistent with the development of the story. On the other hand, there is remarkable field work and research on the environment where the events take place.
