John Grisham's appeal

Today it goes on sale in Spain the (so far) last novel of the writer John Grisham, The appeal. There is great expectation, so the first print run will be no less than 150.000 copies.

It is the return of Grisham to the lawyer thriller, a genre that he had not frequented since the novel The middle manOf 2005.

The appeal touches on the burning issue of the environment, since in the novel a multinational chemical company pollutes the water reserves of an American city. This contamination brings with it an increase in cancer cases in the population. For this reason the company is sentenced by a court to pay a millionaire figure, but a lawyer files an appeal before the Supreme Court of the State… From there, intrigue and suspense will not be lacking.

The novel is set in the world of lawyers, but it also touches on the issue of the "influences" of politics, and of politicians, in the judiciary.

At the same time, The appeal it tries to make lawyers stand out and the role they play in societies like the North American one.

John Grisham was born in Arkansas in 1955, he received his law degree in 1981 and is the father of two children. He is the author of novels such as Time to kill, The cover, The client y Gas chamber, some of them great best sellers (others, like the Pelican Report have been taken to the movies).

His works have been translated into more than 40 languages, only in United States, grayman He has sold 150 million books, and from today, you can buy his most recent novel in Spanish bookstores, and then read it and give yourself the pleasure of giving your opinion on the work of this man.

I recommend Time to kill, his first novel, sometimes it is good to start at the beginning ...

I am 24 years old and I have been reading this writer for 7 or 8 years.
For me, he is without a doubt the best writer.
It has an easy reading, in which you learn many things from the way you write, etc ...
I have no words to describe you as a writer.
I recommend it to all, it will not disappoint you, I assure you.

I'm reading the Appeal right now, it seems like a novel easy to understand, and above all entertaining….

I really recommend the novel to you, so yes ... I read the Psychoanalyst before, and I can tell you that I like the narrative of Jhon Katzenbac more (who knows how to write it) is more compelling ...

    regards

The truth is that the book "The Appeal" seemed very boring and it even seems that John Grisham did not write it, each of the pages of his other stories are exciting and interesting, except "The Appeal" and "The Farm" that neither I liked.

I find The Appeal very entertaining but the subject is trite-
    c. Films on the subject have already been made. But it entertains me.

I was disappointed, I expected an antagonistic ending. I regret having wasted my time. Meet this author and in this work he was not up to the task.

He is a magnificent writer, the camera, the pelican report, the cover, the appeal, they are all good. I would like more information about his personal life, they only say that he is a lawyer, I do not know anything familiar and when you admire an author you want to know him better personally. Thanks

I am finishing reading THE APPEAL, it is the first Grisham book that I read, and actually it is the first one that I am going to finish reading, excellent, he has made me more interested in reading, he has made my imagination awake more and I hope to finish it quickly regardless of the end, since he only tells the truth. I am eager to start reading your best works

Just by reading the beginning of the novel you know where the shots will end. Sad ending for a novel that could have ended differently. Not suitable for those who like happy endings because this one does not have it by any means.

The truth is the only book I have read and he has been THE TESTAMENT and it seemed very good to me. I am next to read the Williamson project and I have many expectations. It is my second favorite writer after Carlos Ruiz Zafon.

This guy gives too many insignificant data that do not make much sense when looking for a novel, I understand that the genre to which the appeal belongs requires it but he provides too much information about the characters that for my taste does not make sense, beyond that his novels are quite entertaining ...
I would recommend you some saramago and if you like policemen I would say that you should read a little guillermo martines, an Argentine writer who knows how to catch us

    GOOD GREETINGS TO ALL.

I have found it an entertaining book without more. At first it pointed ways, but little by little it has been deflated. Some chapters get tedious. The ending seemed simple and stupid to me, apparently this man was in a hurry to finish it.
