Statement from Eiichiro Oda about his illness

One Piece 508

A few days ago, fans of one piece we knew that its creator, Eiichiro oda, had to temporarily leave the manga story due to a poorly cured illness, a peritonsillar abscess Or, better known as an infection near the tonsils. For this reason Eiichiro Oda will have to take a few days off to fully recover from this infection, so the serialized publication of the numbers of this manga is postponed until 10 June, date on which it will resume normally.

However, Eiichiro Oda wanted to leave a apology message to his followers:

I screwed up! I was putting aside my illness, so much so that my condition ended up getting worse. I apologize to all the readers who waited for new chapters, as well as to all the "straw hats" who were left wanting to continue messing it ... But right now i'm going through painful treatment. The story in One Piece was about to take a new turn, so I'd like to have you all reading the next chapter as soon as possible. I know how much two weeks can be with so much shounen manga in progress, but please wait just a little bit longer.

Oda-sensei-sama !!! How sad that he feels bad about something he couldn't help: '(
I hope he gets better soon ... And I'm not saying it because I want the manga to return (well, yes, but I'm not that insensitive) but because I'm worried that it might get worse.

    Fight Oda-sensei !!
