Just four days ago the media have echoed a really surprising news within the field of literature. The news was given by the BBC on Monday and this has been echoing in the national media throughout this week.

For you William Shakespeare would not have written only some of his plays that have historically been attributed to him and that, therefore, some of these would present the co-authorship of other writers. More specifically, they are talking about playwright Christopher Marlowe is one of these co-authors. Curiously, this has always been considered the great literary predecessor of Shakespeare himself.

This research by the British publishing house "Oxford University Press" has concluded that, as has been suspected since the XNUMXth century, three of the plays about King Henry VI considered as belonging to the "Bardo", would really exist in them  a major influence of Marlowe . This, in short, allows specialists to speak of a more than possible collaboration between the two authors.

Among the team of researchers, they stand out a total of 23 academics from different countries. All of them have concluded that the case that concerns us is not of an isolated nature since argue that Shakespeare had the help or collaboration of a total of 17 writers throughout his life literary.

After this news, there has been no lack of voices that cast doubt on this statement. Some specialists in the field such as Carol Rutter, a professor at the University of Warwick, warn that this conclusion must be taken with caution and avoid considering it first as valid or definitive.

The university professor bases this caution on the fact that, although it is known of Shakespeare's collaboration in works by other contemporary authors, It is difficult or difficult to believe that the most important author of that time, Marlowe, asked Shakespeare, a writer at that time practically anonymous, for help or collaboration  in some of his works.

We will have to keep, therefore, attentive to future news on the subject to finish verifying if Shakespeare is truly the genuine author of all his works.
