"The Viscount Too Much" is a novel fantastic of the great and renowned writer Italo Calvin, which presents us with the story of a Viscount, that of Terralba, who is split in half as a result of a cannon shot from the Turks, but who, far from ceasing to exist, multiplies (or divides) his life in two, since his two halves resist and they are still alive but separately.
Obviously, how could it be otherwise, one of them is the good half, who wants the best for those around her and the other is the bad half, who does not skimp on evils in order to satisfy her thirst for suffering with respect to the rest of the people.
This is a clear allegory of the duality of all people, within which positive feelings and dispositions can be found as well as negative feelings and dispositions ... only that on this occasion, these two poles have divided the body of the Viscount of Terralba in equal parts.
The story, in which humor is not lacking, therefore investigates the true human condition through this character (these two (half) characters) that emerge as the result of an Ottoman cannon shot.
