In the case of Lorca, his leftist ideas and his homosexuality made him, perhaps even involuntarily, a reference character for those related to the republic and the ideal that emanated from it.. One of Lorca's most surprising friends at first sight was José Antonio Primo de Rivera, founder of the Spanish Falange. This secret friendship was revealed by Professor Jesús Cotta in his work “Friendship and death of Federico and José Antonio ".
