During the presentation, which will take place next Thursday, September 19 at ELISAVA, the directors Mery Cuesta and José Luis Merino will address the characteristics of the work of illustrators and cartoonists through three relevant characters in this field and the impact of their work. The event, open and free, will be broadcast on the School's Streaming channel.
This postgraduate degree, with a degree from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), goes beyond paper to focus on the concerns of the sector in the XNUMXst century: from the relevance of digital media (webapps, tablets ...) to the expansion of cultural consumption to products related to graphic expression (tattoos, embroidery, toys, etc.). The Postgraduate will investigate the aesthetic, technological and professional keys of the sector through real projects developed in collaboration with companies such as Blackie Books, Mongolia Magazine or Time Out.
The course enhances the values and personal brand of each student through a practical and theoretical approach, based on experience. For this they will have the expertise and know-how of internationally renowned figures such as Alex Trochut, Brosmind, Miguel Gallardo or Sergio Mora.
A poster of professionals, of recognized national and international trajectory, that responds to the need to provide the necessary knowledge and tools to all those participants who consider finding their own path in the current illustration and comics scene.

Art critic, independent curator and comic book artist. Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master in Communication and Art Criticism from the University of Girona. Winner of the Premi Espais 2002 of the Art Critics. He combines his usual collaborations as an art critic in the supplement Cultura / s de La Vanguardia, with articles and comic strips for other publications and fanzines, television appearances and regular appearances on the radio. As a curator, her projects address issues related to the analysis of popular culture, focusing mainly on comics and drawing. His most recent projects are Quinquis from the 80s: cinema, press and street (CCCB, La Casa Encendida and AlhóndigaBilbao), Cervantes' Left Hand (Instituto Cervantes Istanbul) or Absurd Humor: An attitude towards life in critical situations (Artium). He has two comics on the market "Fall and Rise of Antxon Amorrortu", and "Istanbul Zombi 2066". He draws for different publications, including TMEO, Mongolia and BonArt.

In 1985 he began working as a graphic designer in various studios and advertising agencies until 1998, the year in which he became independent to found his current graphic design and illustration studio.
