Harry Hole Returns in 2017 - New Novel and Movie

jonesbothirst

Well yes. The alcoholic and unpredictable but exceptional Oslo Police Inspector Harry Hole, returns for an eleventh title in its highly acclaimed series. So my debut in Actualidad Literatura It had to be with him, one of the greatest references of the genre he likes the most: black. His father, the Norwegian Jo Nesbo, he remains one of the greats among the many sons of Odin devoted to literature.

Harry, his most praised creature, suffered and followed by thousands of devoted and passionate readers (myself) returns in a new novel. Your title, The thirst (Thirst), will go on sale for now only in the Anglo-Saxon market on May 4, 2017. For the rest of non-English-speaking readers, we will have to wait to see when the Random House publishers, who are reissuing the entire series. But meanwhile in October we will have the film adaptation of The Snowman, the seventh title and perhaps the most popular and successful.

What is it about The thirst?

Anyone who has read the previous novels will know when, where and how we left Harry in Police, the last. Well, again there is another murderer on the streets of Oslo whose victims are users of the online dating network Tinder. To Harry the modus operandi it reminds him of someone who was one of his nemesis in the past. The seasoned reader will surely also remember who it can refer to. So maybe you have pending accounts to settle with that past and its present.

I will try to get it to review it. My only complaint is that there are older Nesbø books still left. not published in Spanish, such as The are, blood on snow o midnight sun. But the charismatic Inspector Hole does not star in them and perhaps in the international market they have not worked so well either. We agree that they are criteria of the publisher with the publication rights in the corresponding country. However, it is still a shame for the loyal readers of this writer. Nesbø is hooked not only by Harry, but by his style, his shocking narrative twists and his manipulation skills. as cheeky as it is accepted.

Fortunately I have been able to read them and I keep taking my hat off to their good work. With everyone, even with children (for children between 9 and 12 years old), which are very funny, imaginative, and just as dark as adult writing.

The Snowman, the movie.

It has been directed by the Swedish director Tomas Alfredson and stars the German-Irish actor Michael Fassbender. Its premiere is scheduled for 17th October 2017. Hollywood is behind and there is an internationally renowned cast. But there is debate about its success, especially on Nordic websites and forums, which sweep home, with good reason on the other hand.

Around here some very humble admirers light up from time to time for and against, albeit in moderation. We had more candidates, but we assumed what is already a fact. Most of us agree that due to the absence of the physicist of the literary Harry Hole (very tall, blond and bald) Mr. Fassbender does not seem the most appropriate. I will not put any image so as not to gut its characterization. However, we are committed to the good CV of those involved and to the setting in the Norwegian capital. So we keep the trust when a good product will come out.

The film adaptations of novels is a recurring theme and they generally lose out to their literary original, but there are some exceptions. Hopefully this is one of the keep the bar and quality for such great characters, plot and setting as their creator devised them.

You have everything about Mr. Nesbø on his website: Jo Nesbø.com (in English). And on Facebook too we are the Hooked on Jo Nesbø, where we discuss life and miracles of the affectionately named HH and other creatures of the cold north. This first article is dedicated to them. For the good times Vikings that we had. Thanks.

In short, it is a pleasure to begin this new experience in Actualidad Literatura. Some readers may know me from other writing adventures. For the rest, allow me a big greeting and a hope of hooking you with juicy topics of reading and writing. I will try to count them in the best way with the official prism of this recognized platform and with my most informal one.

I define myself as "passionate" about Mr. Nesbo and especially about his most beloved son: Harry Hole. And I look forward to your latest novel. Thank you very much Mariola. I will follow you, Nesbo and this very good literary blog.

We know that HH will not last forever, that Nesbø has his end prepared for him and that meeting him will not be a bed of roses, but we are impatient for this new book. One more no, please. One after another and that they are many.
    Thanks Mariola.
    You will inform us.

And for those of us who do not speak English or Norwegian, it is very lucky to be able to read your summaries.
A comment: the other day I saw the movie «Steve Jobs», starring Mr. Fassbender ……. I really couldn't even try my best to see our Harry Hole …… .. When you have such a good description of a character it is difficult (at least for me) to associate him with someone who does not have a single recognizable trait.

What can I tell you, Araceli? You know my opinion about it. But anyway, let's see what comes out.
