A new birth anniversary of this Lebanese poet, philosopher and painter, who was born on a day like today from 1883. Khalil Gibran
Born in The Libano but the two decades of his life he lived in United States, where he died at the age of 48. And although much of his work was written in English, in the Arab world it is considered one of the geniuses of his time. His texts have been translated into more than 30 languages and his work has been taken to the theater and to the cinema. And his painting has been exhibited in the main halls of the world.
His literature is full of mysticism and search for the truth through him and his themes are universal. Its best known title is The profit, and also highlight Rebel Spirits, the mentioned Broken wings (autobiographical text) and Crazy: Jesus the Son of Man.
