The award-winning Spanish writer Jacinto Benavente was born in the town of Madrid in 1866 and was an outstanding playwright whose work earned him great recognition in life and whose vocation as playwright It comes from a very young age in which he expressed his liking for the theater.

Besides writing plays, Benavente He also took up journalistic work, collaborating with various newspapers throughout his life, ABC being the one in which he most often published.

As we have said, the awards and distinctions with which he was honored were multiple, highlighting among them the fact of being named a member of the Royal Academy in 1912 or the greatest of his achievements at the level of awards, which would come just a decade later, when he was awarded the prestigious Swedish award: the Nobel of Literature, which had not fallen into the hands of a theatrical writer of Spanish nationality since Echegaray achieved it years before.

Since then and until the end of his days, the tributes that this writer received were constant until he finally died in the year 1954 having left an invaluable legacy.
