Travesuras de la niña mala was published in 2006 as a book, although there is also a Mexican television series, an adaptation that was made in 2022. And this book is written by Mario Vargas Llosa, a Peruvian writer.
Vargas Llosa is known worldwide, especially since in 2010 he won the Nobel Prize for Literature. His full name is Jorge Mario Pedro Vargas Llosa and he was born in Arequipa in 1936. He is considered one of the most important in literature, and no wonder.

In Mischief of the bad girl we are going to meet a protagonist, Ricardo Somocurcio. At first he is just a teenager from an upper-middle-class family that lives in the Miraflores neighborhood. He falls in love with Lily 'la chilena'. The problem is that shortly after he discovers that the girl lied and she disappears.
Years later, Ricardo fulfills his dream of living in Paris, and right there he meets Lily again, only now she has another name and goes to Cuba to be a guerrilla. And so, time and again the two protagonists will find themselves in different cities and with different destinations each of them. She, as a gold digger; and he, trying to live a more or less calm and honest life, at least trying to forget the one who was the love of his life.
Unlike other books by Mario Vargas Llosa, Bad Girl Antics doesn't focus as much on relevant society or political moments.
