  • ACTUALIDAD LITERATURA: Do you remember the first book you read? And the first story you wrote?

ANTONIO CABANAS: I do not remember which was el First of allWell, I started reading when I was very young. AC: There is muchos writers that I like. In general, I am fond of classical and great novelists of the XIX, although I have a special predilection for Perez Galdos.

  • AL: What character in a book would you have liked to meet and create?

AC: As fictional characters I would have liked know a Edmundo dantes, and can bring to life al Mr. Hyde from the great Stevenson.

  • AL: Any mania when it comes to writing or reading?

AC: A quiet place where I can abstract myself.

  • AL: And your preferred place and time to do it?

AC: Leo to any time and I write in the afternoon and early morning.

  • AL: What writer or book has influenced your work as an author?

AC: I believe that an author is the result of all the books he has read. They always leave a mark.

  • AL: Your favorite genres besides historical?

AC: I read everything: books test, novels of any genre that have a good narrative. As I said before, I like the classics, whom I never tire of rereading.

  • AL: What are you reading now? And writing?

AC: I usually read some books at once. I just finished History of two cities, by Dickens, and I'm reading again The Cartuja of Parma, of Stendhal, and a biography of the lord Churchill. I have a new project literary about him Ancient Egypt and I'm starting to work on it.

  • AL: How do you think the publishing scene is for as many authors as there are or want to publish?

AC: Complicated. So many works are published that not enough space for all. Many good authors are lost for this reason.

  • AL: Is the moment of crisis that we are experiencing being difficult for you or will you be able to keep something positive for future novels?

AC: Like everyone else, I try to adapt to the circumstances in the best possible way. I declare myself a furious follower of the human being. Positive notes have come from him in a setting that strikes me as disturbing.
