Biography of Camilo José Cela

Photo of Cela

Camilo José Cela was a Spanish writer who was born in 1916 in the Coruña town of I would go Flavia. Cela was in the university and in fact she started two careers such as Medicine and Law, but nevertheless she did not finish either of the two.

Despite being known especially for its novels (in addition to his bad humor ...) he also had time to publish a book of poetry that had surrealist overtones.

His work has been highly recognized throughout the life of the writer and even after his death and there are many distinctions and awards that he accumulates, among which we must mention his admission to the Royal Spanish Academy in 1957, the National Award for Literature from 1984, the Prince of Asturias from 87 and the real culmination of the award Literature Nobel of which he was given in 1989.

As a curiosity we can mention that the author makes a cameo in the film about his own novel La Colmena and that he has appeared in various television programs in which he always left the odd pearl as an eschatological or rude comment.

Finally Cela died in Madrid in the year 2002.

That humor will have to do with his literary posterity. I don't know who wrote this biography, but he mixes pears with apples. If one does not know of literature that does not write about it, please.
Camilo José Cela was an excellent man, extremely intelligent, and one of the great writers that Spain has had.
