The ten essential books for this summer, according to 24symbols

The digital reading platform 24symbols recently shared a list with 10 tips to read this summer. If I share it with you, it is, in the first place, because some of these books are already on my personal list. Second, since I love this platform - it's the one I use - I can't help but recommend it.

As a preview, I will tell you that the most recommended is How to be a husbandby Tim Dowling. And this is one of my list. Read on, and I'll tell you why. And I'll also comment on the rest of the list, of course.

#1 - How to be a husbandby Tim Dowling (Anagram)

This book answers crucial questions about marriage and provides sage advice on human behavior in romantic matters. They say from 24symbols that it is the best alternative if you are going to enjoy a vacation as a couple.

Personally, this book caught my attention since the app showed it to me in the highlights section. It is not a self-help manual, nor is it a psychology treatise, nor is it an essay. So what is it? I could not tell you, the truth, except a book to laugh at life itself with intelligent reflections full of humor and irony.

#2 - Promises of sand, by Laura Garzón (Roca Editorial)

Promise of sand is a love story that takes place in Palestine, where the protagonist travels full of illusions to cooperate with an NGO.

This novel has been the winner of the second Marta de Mont Marça International Narrative Prize, and it was released a little over a month ago.

#3 -  The last night of James Salter (Salamander)

This work contains ten stories about relationships between men and women, in which traditional themes such as disappointment, betrayal and loneliness are used.

James Salter is famous for his stripped-down writing, made of accurate words and eloquent silences. Its unquestionable prestige, built over almost fifty years with only seven published books, was reinforced, if possible, with the appearance of The last night in April 2005, a true literary event.

#4 - The Jungle books, by Rudyard Kipling (Alba)

The Jungle Books It is one of the classics of all ages. The fable of the boy Mowgli, the bear Baloo, the panther Bagheera and the evil tiger Shere Khan, has become a universal archetype that brings together the best and the worst of human affairs.

It is a good choice to discover this well-known story in its original presentation. If you're curious, there are more books by this author at 24symbols.

#5 - The bad wayby Mikel Santiago (B de Books)

The bad way is the second novel by Midel Santiago. It takes place in Provence. They say that it is an addictive novel full of suspense and that it grabs the reader from its first page. I write this one down.

#6 - The Corps of Crime: An Anthology of Police Stories (Prune)

The body of the crime is a compilation of 13 police stories representative of the genre with a great literary quality. Includes text by Oscar Wilde, Edgar Allan Poe, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Mark Twain, Wilkie Collins.

If you like this genre, you can't miss it. This one goes to my list.

#7 - I can get over myselfby Bernardo Stamateas (B de Books)

I can get over myself is a help book to overcome adverse situations and achieve our goals efficiently through different tips.

I personally recommend this one because I am reading it. It's great.

#8 - Divine! Models, power and lies, by Patricia Soley-Beltran (Anagrama)

It is an entertaining essay that reflects the experience of the protagonist in her professional life as a model with a touch of humor.

It looks good.

#9 -  The game of passionby Emma Hart (Velvet)

This work is the second installment of the series Pleasure Games and is about a complicated love affair between the protagonists, Aston Banks and Megan Harper.

If you want to add a little warmth to your vacation, with this novel you get it for sure.

#10 - Ready Player Oneby Ernest Cline

Ready Player One is a science fiction novel set in 2.044 where most people have a hard time surviving.

It seems like an entertaining story for fans of the genre.
