More television adaptations: Reacher, Slow Horses and Bosch Legacy

They are currently countless literary adaptations to television series that can be viewed on any platform. Today I review three, by authors such as Lee Child, Mick herron y Michael connelly, whose titles, works and characters have been adapted —or continue to be adapted— such as Jack Reacher, already on the air since February, Jack Lamb (in April) or Harry bosch, in its new continuation that will be released in May. This is a review.

Reacher

It premiered on February 4, they are 8 episodes and has been a new success for the platform AmazonSo much so that a second season is already planned. Based on the popular and widely followed character created by Lee Child, she stars as Alan Ritchson, which is certainly a much more convincing Reacher than the one you showed by Tom Cruise in the jump to the big screen that he gave a few years ago. Even if it is only because of the more than imposing and hard physique that is the mark of the literary character, an aspect that evidently the good Cruise did not have and for which he received the most furious reactions from Reacher's followers. So Ritchson at least fulfills that forcefulness and, in addition, he has already commented that he is delighted to continue interpreting it.

In this first season, the first novel of the Child literary series was adapted, Danger zone, published in 1997 and that takes place in one of those supposedly quiet towns where nothing ever happens. There comes Jack Reacher, a ex-military globetrotter, who soon gets into trouble and ends up arrested, accused of murder. From there and to prove his innocence, despite the evidence against him, he will have to be careful and seek the truth, his way.

And in the second season, although it is still unconfirmed, it will be lowered to adapt Die trying, but it could be any other. are already 26 titles those on the market, so there is no shortage of material.

Slow horses

Slow horses is first delivery of a series of espionage with which Mick herron, the British writer and resident of Oxford, turned the genre of spies in 2018. And its protagonist, jackson lamb, is a character who has already left a mark for breaking with the physical and moral stereotypes of that genre. He now also jumps to television in a series of 6 episodes who lead Gary Oldman like Lamb and Kristin Scott Thomas like Diana Tavener. It will be released on the platform Apple TV + the next April 1.

Of course there are the scenarios of the novel like that Slough House, a place where MI5 agents who have fallen into disgrace within the organization and end up under the orders of Lamb, who is a guy as brilliant as he is disastrous and irascible, end up.

Bosch Legacy

El May 6 opens in IMDb TV and free the sequel to the successful 7-season Amazon series based on the iconic and already legendary Los Angeles Police Department detective created by Michael connelly, Harry Bosch. The writer, who has sold more than 80 million books worldwide, has immersed himself in this new series just as he did in the previous one as an executive producer and writer.

At the moment, there is this first season, of 10 episodes, which is set nearly two years after the previous series ended with Bosch (Titus Welliver) turning in his badge and leaving the LAPD. He now works as private detective, but his former colleagues do not take their eyes off him. In addition, their characters retain the prestigious and powerful defense attorney Honey "Money" Chandler (Mimi Rogers), who was in conflict with the former police officer for a long time, and Maddie (Madison Lintz), Bosch's daughter, who is now a rookie agent precisely in the LAPD.

So the followers of the series, of whom there are many and we are also eager for more Bosch, we are in luck.
