Manel Loureiro was born in Pontevedra on December 30, 1975. He graduated in Law from the University of Santiago de Compostela, so he is a lawyer. However, during his student days he had the opportunity to approach television-related jobs. At first he did it as a show host, but later he dealt with the scripts and it was when he realized that his true passion was not law, nor journalism or television, but writing.

Of course, it does not remove that keep collaborating in the media. And, although he has been a presenter on Galicia Television, now he collaborates in newspapers such as La voz de Galicia, ABC newspaper, El Mundo, GQ magazine but also on the radio, specifically on Cadena Ser and Onda Cero. You have even been able to see him on television, specifically in the program Cuarto Milenio, in Cuatro, where it has had a periodic section since 2016.

His first novel came about through a blog. And it is that he dedicated himself to writing books in his moments and, such was the success of this one, with more than a million and a half online readers, that, when he finished it, it was published. And it didn't disappoint either; It was in a short time a bestseller, which made many publishers pay attention to this author who stood out and who increasingly attracted more attention, not only among the Spanish public, but also internationally. That is why, after that first book, Revelation Z, several more spaced out in several years emerged (only in 2011 he released two books).

As a curiosity, we will tell you that from his first novel there is even a board game. This was funded through crowdfunding when the story was published.

Manel Loureiro can be proud because he is one of the few Spanish writers who has managed to be on the list of best-selling books in the United States, something that is not easy to achieve.

The survivors of Apocalypse Z manage to reach the Canary Islands, one of the last areas safe from the Undead. But what they find there is a military state embroiled in a civil war, with a starving population and hardly any resources to survive.
