“The El Bonillo city council, announces this first contest in accordance with the following bases:

  • Writers: All national and foreign writers who wish, and who submit their original and unpublished work that have not been awarded in any other contest and written in the Spanish language, may participate. Each author may only submit one work to the contest.
  • Extension: There is no limit to the length of the papers, and they must be submitted in double-spaced A4 format in Times New Roman font, size 12.
  • Topic: "The Bonillo in a place of Don Quixote" (Chapters XXI-XXII)
  • Delivery deadlines: Between January 23 and October 1, 2015.

Two files will be sent in the email: the first with the titled story, and the second in which the author's name, literary resume, and contact telephone number (preferably mobile) must appear.
  • Awards: First prize of 1000 euros; Second prize of 800 euros and third prize of 500 euros.
  • Prize giving: It will be held in El Bonillo, on Saturday, November 14, 2015, in a ceremony where the name of the winners will be made public. To make the payment of the prizes effective, it will be essential that the winners attend said event to read their work physically if they reside in the Iberian Peninsula, being able to do so virtually if they prove their residence outside of it.

I Manuel del Cabral Poetry Prize (Spain)

Base

  • Authors resident in Spain can participate 18 over years.
  • The style and theme is totally free.
  • The work must be written in Spanish.
  • Each author can participate with a maximum of two works.
  • The work must be an unprecedented, In its whole.
  • Participation will be made under a pseudonym and a closed escrow will include the name of the work, its pseudonym, the real name of the author, a copy of their identity document and their biographical data.
  • The work must be digitized, printed in Times New Roman font size 12 and must have at least 200 verses. The three copies together with the escrow must be sent to the following address: Juan Bosch Cultural Center, Gran Vía Ramón y Cajal, N ° 5 (Bajo), 46007 Valencia, Valencia (Spain).
  • The receipt of copies expires on October 1, 2015.

XXV Short Story Contest "Noble villa de Portugalete" (Spain)

Base

  • Participants: All authors who wish and whose ages are between 14 and 29 years old can participate in this contest, in two categories: 1. Category A. Authors of legal age: from 18 to 29 years old.
    2. Category B. Minor authors: from 14 to 17 years old.
  • The works may be presented in either of the two official languages ​​of the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country: Basque and Spanish. The theme will be free and the works must be original, unpublished (including electronic media) and not awarded in other competitions. This last condition must be justified with a sworn statement from the author, if the work is awarded in this contest.
  • Presentation of the work: It can be in paper format. For this, they must be submitted in triplicate, in a sealed envelope, without identification of the author and under a title, which, in turn, must appear at the top of all the pages. Along with the title it will also be indicated in which category it participates. Inside, another envelope with the same title and the author's personal data will be attached: name, surname, telephone number, profession, age, full address and photocopy of ID or passport. It can also be in computer format. For this, the work must be presented in a file with a .pdf extension without identification of the author and under a title, which, in turn, must appear at the top of all the pages. This document will be accompanied by another file, also with a .pdf extension, in which the same title and personal data of the author appear: name, surname, telephone number, profession, age, full address and copy of ID or passport.   • Extension: The length of the work may not exceed fifteen sheets of DIN-A4 size, written on one side, on a computer, with a line spacing of 1,5. The font will be 12 point Times New Roman. All pages will be duly numbered.
  • Awards:

CATEGORY A:
- First prize: € 1.000.
- Second prize: € 600.
- Second prize to the best story in a non-awarded language: € 250.

CATEGORY B:
- First prize: € 600.
- Second prize: € 300.
- Second prize to the best story in a non-awarded language: € 100.
