IV Comic and Illustration Room of Cáceres

It's always nice to write about new events that are organized throughout our territory. But it is happier to see how existing events continue to survive despite the fact that on many occasions institutional support is null or scarce. It seems that this is not the case at first glance, but it is good to point it out. La Salita del Cómic and Illustration of Cáceres reaches its fourth edition with a program that I reproduce below:

Monday, September 23 (until October 4)

Inauguration of EXHIBITIONS of the 4th Salita del Cómic (exTreBeO)

- Nessa versions (More than 25 authors play a heroic fantasy heroine, created by Ángel Gcía. Nieto (by TiTo) and Vanessa Deleiva). Ruta de la Plata Shopping Center.

- Exhibition of originals from the Regional Fund of Extremadura Comic Publications, loaned by Ramón Guerra (Monchi) at the San Francisco Cultural Complex, Malinche Cloister.

- "The Devil in the Bottle »- The graphic novel (27 Extremadura authors cover Robert L. Stevenson's classic in a graphic novel) - Filmoteca de Extremadura (Cáceres) -.

- Superman versions. Extremadura authors carry out illustrations and performances on The Man of Steel, on the occasion of the character's 75th anniversary. Pub El Bulevar

- Illustrations from Badajoz. Exhibition of "Authors Pacenses" with original by Borja González, Alberto Peral and Mayte Alvarado. Bird head

- Originals from the "Giant Live Comic 2012: Primitiva, an imaginative girl". 20 authors draw on a script by José Luis Forte. Ruta de la Plata Shopping Center.

Thursday September 26

· Presentation of The Devil in the Bottle - The Graphic Novel -. In Badajoz, at 20 p.m. Sweet Madness (c / Frco. Pizarro, 10. Badajoz).

Friday September 27

· Talk-Colloquium to young people from the IES “Al-Qáceres”: "The Comic and the Cinema: Culture and entertainment within everyone's reach". Led by Jesús Bravo and Ángel Gª Nieto (“by Tito”). Clavellinas Room - 12 h.

· Illustrated Storyteller: Traditional tales represented by two actors and illustrated live by two cartoonists. By Fernando Montero and Irene Medina (actors-storytellers) and Alberto Peral y Monchi (cartoonists). Clavellinas Room - 19pm.

· Opening party of the 4th Salita del Cómic y la Enlightenment. Costumes, sale of comics and exTreBeO merchandising, exhibition of illustrations and performances by various Extremadura authors on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the creation of Superman. A free comic and a free glass will be given to anyone who comes in costume. Pub El Boulevar - 22pm.

Saturday September 28

· Children's costume party-contest. Children must come dressed as comic characters, especially those costumes made by parents and children. There will be gifts for all costumed attendees. Clavellinas Room - 12 h.

We will also have a Zombie makeup workshop (in charge of the Red de AA. de VV. and the Zombie March of Cáceres).

and Traditional comic book market secondhand.

· Meeting with comic and illustration authors (Jesús Cano -comic- and Loren - illustration). Municipal Museum of the City Council of Cáceres - 18 h.

Presentation of publications and news from Extremadura on comics and illustration of this year. Municipal Museum of the City Council of Cáceres - 19pm.

· Fanzines market, art and nightly desktop publishing, coordinated by Cabezapájaro. San Juan and C / San Pedro area - 20pm.

Sunday September 29

· Giant comic live. 25 Extremadura authors will each make a large vignette before the public, forming a complete story together (Script by Pablo Calvo and vignette by Paco Casares). Event of special spectacularity. (Includes information stand and sale of fanzines). Paseo de Cánovas - 11 a.m. to 14 p.m.)
