If yesterday we brought you five national literary competitions for this month, today we present you another five international literary competitions for the month of December in which you still have time to present yourselves.

See if they are of the genre that you dominate and introduce yourselves. You never know if luck will be on our side at that point.

6th National Young Narrative Competition Gustavo Díaz Solís 2015 (Venezuela)

  • Gender:  Story

Base

  • The work file must be identified with a pseudonym and in another file will be placed the names and surnames of the author, address and identification of the institute in which he studies (including telephone numbers), personal telephones (minimum two contacts), email, proof of studies and scanned identity card, as well as the data of the representative in case of being a minor. These requirements are mandatory.
  • Applicants must submit in Word file with one or more free creation stories to email contestsfundacioncasabello@gmail.com with a minimum length of five pages and a maximum of fifteen, in "Times New Roman" font, size 12, with double spacing.
  • All young students can participate up to 21 years of age.

  • The contest is endowed with a prize of ten thousand bolivars (Bs. 10.000,00) and the publication of the work in digital format. Honorable Mentions may be awarded.
  • The deadline for receiving the works will be until December 4, 2015. The awards will be held during the 12th International Book Fair of Venezuela (Filven) 2016.
  • The jury will be made up of three renowned writers.

Fine Arts Poetry Award Aguascalientes 2016 (Mexico)

  • Prize:  500.000 pesos, diploma and edition
  • Open to: of legal age, Mexicans and foreigners residing five years in the Mexican Republic
  • Convening entity: National Council for Culture and the Arts, the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature, and the Government of the State of Aguascalientes
  • Country: Mexico
  • Deadline: 04/12/2015

Base

  • The convening institutions will disclose the name of the winner in March 2016.
  • The National Council for Culture and the Arts, the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature, and the Government of the State of Aguascalientes, through the Cultural Institute of Aguascalientes, announce the 2016 Aguascalientes Fine Arts Prize for Poetry.
  • Poets of legal age, Mexicans and foreigners residing in the Mexican Republic may participate, who must prove their legal stay of at least five years.
  • Contestants must participate with a pseudonym that does not allow their identification, and send them to the Cultural Institute of Aguascalientes (Venustiano Carranza 101, CP 20000, Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes) three copies of an unpublished book of poems in Spanish; with free theme, style and form; with a minimum of 60 pages, and typewritten or computer (with 12-point Times New Roman font), double-spaced, on letter-size paper and on one side only. The pages must be numbered, and each copy, bound.
  • The jury that will choose the winner of the 2016 Aguascalientes Fine Arts Poetry Prize will be made up of three renowned writers, researchers or critics, members of the national and international literary community.
  • El Deadline for admission of works will end on December 4, 2015. In the case of those sent by post or courier, the date of dispatch will be taken as the day the postmark was printed.
  • The work must be accompanied by an escrow, labeled with the legend "Fine Arts Poetry Award Aguascalientes 2016" and identified with the pseudonym of the participant, and which must contain the title of the manuscript, full name of the author, address, telephone number, email, corresponding immigration form (if applicable) and any other information to contact the writer. Any type of reference, legend or dedication in the competing work that may suggest the identity of the author, will cause its disqualification.
  • By participating in this award, the author declares that the information provided is true and the work is legitimate, of his authorship and unpublished; exempts the convening institutions from any responsibility for the failure and, if the winner is the winner, it will grant its consent to disclose and publish the work, in accordance with the Federal Copyright Law. Ownership of copyright belongs to the winner.
  • The winner of the 2016 Aguascalientes Fine Arts Poetry Prize you will receive a diploma and the amount of 500.000 pesos, in addition to the publication of his manuscript. The award is unique and indivisible and will be awarded within the framework of the Cultural Program of the National Fair of San Marcos.
  • The convening institutions will publish the name of the winner in a newspaper with national circulation, as well as on their websites, during March 2016.
  • The award may be declared void by the jury, in which case the convening institutions reserve the decision to use the corresponding economic resource to support activities to promote literature.
  • The convening institutions will cover the national transfer and accommodation, if necessary, for the winner to attend the award ceremony.

"International Creativity" Prize for Literature (USA)

Base

  • You can participate authors of any Spanish-speaking nationality. Deadline December 6, 2015. Awards ceremony: December 30, 2015.
  • Awards: Diploma of honor of merit, publication of copies on paper, Ebook and promotion. Authors will retain their rights to their published and unpublished works.
  • You can participate with a short novel, free theme, unpublished in its entirety (both on paper and on the Internet), whose total length is no less than 80 and no more than 200 double-spaced pages, in 12-point Times New Roman font. For the collection of poems, the works will have a maximum length of 30 poems in 1,5 spacing, Times New Roman font, size 12.
  • The work will carry a index after the title page. The pages will go numbered, from the first to the last.
  • Presenting a novel or collection of poems The Contest necessarily implies the full and unconditional acceptance of these rules by the opting party, as well as:

    1. The consent of the applicant to the disclosure of the work presented in the event of being awarded.

    2. The guarantee by the opting party, with full indemnity for 'Interactional Creativity' of the authorship and originality of the work, without it being a copy or total or partial modification of any other external part.

    3. The guarantee by the participant, with full indemnity for 'International Creativity' of the unpublished nature of the work presented throughout the world and without being submitted to any other competition pending resolution.

  • You must include a short biography of the author where the title of the work in competition will be specified, and the manuscripts must arrive in the same email.
  • A copy of the Driver's License, Author's Passport or Identity Card must also be included.

Third National Essay Contest «Great leaders in history, who is your leader? (Chili)

Base

  • Any regular student of any USS race from all its headquarters nationwide will be able to participate in this contest.
  • The works must be written in Spanish Language And be completely original. Including adaptations of other presentations.
  • The essay should address the issue raised, the choice of the leader is free.
  • Each contestant may participate with a maximum of a work.
  • The works must have a minimum extension of 3 planes y maximum 6. The essays must be presented with a spacing of one and a half, using Times New Roman 12 font and justified text.
  • The works must be signed with the author's name, which will appear on the cover or first page along with the title. Every student who participates consents to the following:

    “Each participant must provide, if necessary, the necessary support and documents to defend the originality of the work in case of controversy. The author gives his consent and authorizes so that the work can be published in a book, and can be transmitted, communicated, published, edited, fixed on any material support, which allows the work to be publicly accessible by any means of communication or by any existing or known material basis or to be known ”.

Latin American microchronicles contest (Argentina)

Base

  • Writers from all over the region and all ages can participate in the contest. The chronicles may be sent in Spanish, Portuguese, French and English, as well as any other language that is practiced in your community, as long as they are accompanied by a translation in one of the previously mentioned languages.
  • Participants should send their microchronicles to info@nodalcultura.am before December 10 at 23:59 GMT-3. The email should include the following data: Full name, age, city of residence and (optional) a brief personal introduction.
  • The microchronicles must be sent in .doc, .rtf, .txt files or included as text in the body of the email.
  • Each author You can send up to 3 microchronicles under your name.
  • The selection of the microchronicles will be carried out by a group of important writers from multiple Latin American countries.
  • The twelve winning microchronicles will be published in Nodal Cultura, important portal of Latin American culture of international scope, as of January 2016.
