I already mentioned it to you at the time, but there is less to see one of the good things that it continues to offer us Grant morrison. The multiverse It is a concept applied to comics by the Scotsman ten years ago and throughout these months in the USA some collections have been coming out that will connect this idea with the next event DC, known as Convergence. For now I have a tremendous desire to Pax americana where Morrison returns to tandem with the great Frank Quitely. Of the rest, the one that draws my attention Cameron Stewart for being his, but we will have to see. I leave you with the press release of ECC, who will be in charge of publishing this material shortly:

Little by little, we are advancing our plans for the immediate future. And with the Barcelona International Comic Fair just around the corner, the time has come to announce one of the most anticipated releases by readers: El Multiverso!

Surely the name of Grant Morrison (Glasgow, Scotland, 1960) is more than familiar to you. Not surprisingly, he has become one of the great architects of the DC Universe, as well as being a benchmark for the Vertigo label. This is attested by great works available in our catalog: 'All Star Superman', '7 Soldiers of Victory', 'JLA: Earth 2', '52', 'Final Crisis', 'Arkham Asylum', 'Superman', his acclaimed stage in front of Batman, 'We3', 'Flex Mentallo' or 'Los Invisibles', among others.

In 'The Multiverse' - an ambitious and fascinating project that he began to develop almost a decade ago - the Scottish screenwriter makes the most of DC's mythology and cosmic tradition, through nine comics whose structure is reminiscent of that of '7 Soldiers de la Victoria ': an opening number, six one-shots, a complete guide to the Multiverse and a closing number. And although all the installments are perfectly enjoyable independently, read in their entirety they turn out to be links in a plot chain. As Morrison himself is in charge of pointing out, "each comic offers a complete story", and at the same time they are part of "a linear story in which each comic yields the witness to the next. Because in each universe they read the comics of the previous universe, which are published in their worlds ”.

Indeed, Morrison returns to resort to metafiction to offer a glimpse of each of the alternate Earths that we already know; but also to develop new characters, worlds and concepts, from the pretense of uniting the DC Universe… and who knows whether to pave the way for 'Convergence', the publisher's next event. For such an ambitious goal, it has an impressive roster of cartoonists, including Ivan Reis ('Aquaman', 'Justice League'), Cameron Stewart ('Batman vs. Robin', 'Batman and Robin must die!' ), Jim Lee ('Batman: Silence', 'Superman: The Man of Steel') and one of his most recurring collaborators: Frank Quitely ('JLA: Earth 2 ?,' We3 ?, 'Flex Mentallo', 'All Star Superman ').

It's all there, and it gives the impression of being the finishing touch ”. Are you going to miss it? On sale from April!
