And other event's audience more, this time related to the graphic humour, since it is about the first edition of the international meeting of comedians (and I do not mean Chiquito de la Calzada), which is celebrated from October 26th to 28th en Grenada.
"Granada with Humor" wants to be an annual meeting open to the participation of graphic comedians and cartoonists from all over the world, with which it is intended to link the city of Granada with humor and drawing.
Within the framework of this meeting, the exhibition will be organized "Granada marvels us", and a catalog will be published with a selection of the works received. The intention is that this exhibition - sponsored by the Department of Tourism of the Granada City Council - becomes itinerant, participating in those events related to tourism and the international promotion of the city of Granada in Spain and abroad.
1.- The call is open to professional and amateur cartoonists and cartoonists from all over the world.
2.- The theme of the XNUMXst Meeting is "Granada" (The city of Granada, The Alhambra, The Eighth Wonder, The city with snow and the sea, University and student city, Multicultural city, Granada and its monuments, etc). More information on this website of the Department of Tourism www.granadatur.com
3.- Participants may submit a maximum of 3 works. A4 landscape size (297 mm wide x 210 mm high) or proportional. Only cartoons and illustrations of a humorous nature related to the theme of the Meeting will be accepted, which may be made using any technique.
Although it is recommended to send silent vignettes, texts in any language will be accepted as long as its translation into Spanish or English is attached.
4.- The works must be sent at 300 dpi, in JPG format, by email to

5.- The shipment must be accompanied by a form that includes the following information:
Name and surnames of the author
Name with which you sign the bullets
Full postal address
Email address and telephone.
Brief CV in which the publications or media in which you usually work are indicated.
Photograph or caricature of the author (optional)
6.- With a selection of the works received, within the framework of the First Meeting, the aforementioned exhibition will be held at the Rey Chico Municipal Art Center for Young People.
Likewise, the exhibition may be shown on an itinerant basis in other national or international events or events related to tourism in which the Granada City Council participates.
They will also be displayed on the Internet at a web address to be announced in due course.
7.- With the collected works, a compilation catalog will be made. All authors whose work is included in the catalog will receive a copy of it.
8.- The organization will communicate, through the website of the Meeting, or by email, the list of participants with the work received and the list of those selected for the exhibition and catalog.
Likewise, through the website of the Meeting, the authors will be informed of the places where their works may be exhibited.
9.- The deadline for receipt of works ends on September 9, 2007.
10.- Sending the work implies that the author authorizes the Granada City Council to reproduce and disseminate it, provided that their name appears and the objective is to disseminate the Exhibition and the rest of the activities of the Encounter in the field of Humor. Graphic and / or of the call (edition of catalogs, posters, brochures, diffusion in the press, Web page, etc.), without thereby generating an obligation of any kind before the author.
11.- Participation in this call to the I Meeting implies full acceptance of these bases. Any doubts that may arise will be resolved by the organization of the Meeting.
