Voices from Beyond - The Written Thing (Mexico)

  • Gender:  Story and poetry
  • Award: Edition (anthology)
  • Open to: Mexican readers who write in Reading Rooms
  • Organizing entity: Reading rooms program
  • Closing date: 07/10/2015

Base

  • Topic: "Death" and the title of the anthology will be: "November".
  • Authors must send two files in the same email to the email address: the.written.thing@outlook.com, in the first they must include texts unpublished own work with an extension of four pages, indicating the category of poetry or story in which it participates, with the following characteristics: line spacing 2, Times New Roman font number 12, .doc format, and conventional margins on letter size sheet; The other file must include: full name of the author, category and title of the work with which he participates, postal and electronic address, telephone number, identification that proves his majority of age and a signed letter from the Mediator who attends the Reading Room to which you belong, where you declare that you are a member of it.
  • They can only participate in a category.
  • The list of those selected will be announced on Monday, November 2 on the Official Pages of the Reading Rooms.
  • Award: Award-winning authors will each receive: 20 copies of the anthology and a printed acknowledgment; in the same way, the Reading Room of which it is a member, will receive a recognition and five copies to be part of its collection.

  • Prize: 40 thousand bolivars and edition
  • Open to: Venezuelans or foreigners with residence in the country for at least five years

  • Participants must be Venezuelans or foreigners with residence in the country for at least five years and works they present must be unpublished.
  • The envelope containing the three copies must be identified with the pseudonym and will include a sealed envelope with the real data of the author.
  • The participating pieces will be received from July 29 to October 8 at the Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa Community Cultural Space on July 31 Avenue in front of the Palo Sano Bakery. Each author may participate with one work per line.

Literary contest UDEMM 2015 (Argentina)

  • Gender:  Children and youth
  • Prize: $ 1000 and diploma
  • Open to: Spanish-speaking students who are studying the last two years of Polimodal / Secondary in educational institutions in Argentina
  • Organizing entity: UdeMM (University of the Merchant Marine)
  • Closing date: 09/10/2015

Base

  • Students must present an unpublished story, written in Spanish, and that has not obtained any prize or mention in contests held previously.
  • Will be accepted only one story per contestant. The extension of the works must not exceed three pages on A4 sheet, with font Times New Roman size 12, written in single space. Three copies must be sent signed with a pseudonym, typed, on one side of the paper, and one space. The title of the story and the author's pseudonym must be indicated on the first page of the work.
  • In a separate, sealed envelope, the personal data of the author will be consigned: Name and surname, number and type of identity document, address and city, telephone and email. Name, address, location and email of the College to which it belongs.
  • The copies of the works and the sealed envelope must be sent together in another envelope, with the following registration:
