Yesterday we presented you some of the national literary competitions that took place throughout the month of November. Today we bring you the list of some International literary competitions for the month of November in which you can participate. Aim the bases already for all, good luck!

State Prize for Children's Literature «Elvia Rodríguez Cirerol» 2015 (Mexico)

  • Gender: Children and youth
  • Award: $ 15,000.00 and edition
  • Open to: writers born in Yucatán, or residents five years

Base

  • The contest is open as of this publication and all writers born in Yucatan or who verify that they have resided in that state during the last five years may participate. Authors who work in the respective areas of Literature of the convening institutions or those who have previously obtained this award may not participate.
  • This Award is divided into two modalities:
    A) Text aimed at children of up to eight years.
    B) Text aimed at children of to 12 years.
  • In each modality, two awards subject to current tax regulations, consisting of: $ 15,000.00 (Fifteen thousand pesos 00/100 MN) to the first place and $ 7,500 (Seven thousand five hundred pesos 00/100 MN) to the second, in addition to the publication of the works under the editorial criteria that the conveners consider pertinent.
  • Participants must send, in  digital version and four hard copies, a unitary text or collection of texts of genre, subject and free form, not including illustrations. For modality A, the minimum extension is 15 pages and a maximum of 40, while for modality B the minimum extension is 30 and a maximum of 70.
  • The works must be written in  Spanish language. The digital version must be presented as a text document (doc, txt or similar) in print Times New Roman 12-point and double-spaced, while prints must be made on letter-size paper, on one side and correspond identically to the digital version.
  • The works must be  unpublished, not be adaptations or translations, and not be participating totally or partially in another contest or have been awarded.
  • Contestants must  participate with pseudonym. Attached to the work, in a sealed envelope and identified with the same pseudonym and the category in which they participate, an identification card will be included with their full name, address, telephone number and, where appropriate, email.
  • The identification papers will be deposited in a Public Notary of the city of Mérida. The notary will open only those that the Honorable Jury indicates as corresponding to the winners. The rest will be destroyed for the protection of the authors.
  • The competing works will be received at the address indicated at the end of this notebook.
  • La  deadline for the reception of texts it will be until Friday, November 6, 2015 at 20:00 p.m. In the case of works sent by mail, those whose date on the postmark is the one indicated or earlier will be accepted.
  • The Awards Ceremony will be held on December 20, 2015.
  • The originals and copies of the works that are not awarded will be destroyed.
  • The promotion and dissemination of this contest is carried out in coordination with the Secretary of Education of the State Government, the National Council for Culture and the Arts, the National Institute of Fine Arts and the Centro Yucateco de Escritores AC
  • Cases not provided for in this call will be resolved at the discretion of the Honorable Jury and the organizers.

Literary competition for university students (Bolivia)

Base

With the aim of promoting respect and appreciation of copyright through the creation of literary and journalistic works, the National Service of Intellectual Property (Senapi) launched the contest "My creation, my right, my property", aimed at students of any degree in the public and private universities of Bolivia.

The contest has two categories:

  • Short story and Report. The themes must be related to copyright in the country. Do creators have the habit of registering their works, in order to protect their intellectual property? How does piracy affect a creator and his work? Is copyright respected in Bolivia? They are the referential questions.
    The deadline for submitting the works ends at 18.30:9 p.m. on November XNUMX and those interested can deliver them at the Senapi central office in La Paz or at any of the regional offices in El Alto, Santa Cruz, Cochabamba, Tarija and Sucre, in office hours.   • All women may participate in the contest creative women who cultivate children's literature (poetry, story) with totally unpublished texts.
  • Contestants must present the works in original and two copies, under pseudonym, and in a separate envelope, they will consign the title of the work and the pseudonym used, the personal data of the author and their possible ways of location.
  • Each participant will have the possibility to present two textss (poetry and short story) of free theme whose extension does not exceed two pages.
  •  It will be deliver two awards (poetry, story) consisting of a work of art by a renowned local artist, books, posters, a diploma, and the publication of the winning work in the Papalote Magazine courtesy of the Provincial Book Center of the City of Bayamo.

  • The jury will be made up of renowned cultists of children's literature. Will select ten finalist texts.

Call for the Carlos Paz Editorial Fund 2015 (Argentina)

Base

  • Any author a) native of Villa Carlos Paz or with residence in the city for no less than three years, b) native of a radius no greater than 15 km. of the completion of the municipal ejido or with residence not less than three years; having to prove this condition with the presentation of the photocopy of the DNI, 1st. and 2nd. Sheet, and change of address.
  • The works to be presented must be original and unpublished in its entirety, not having to present award-winning works or in the process of failure, as well as in the process of publication.
  • The work must conform to the genre Novela (in any type of thematic variable), nor exceed 120 pages y not be less than 100 pages.
  • Each author will present, under pseudonym, original and two copies of his work  with the corresponding title.
  • Copies on A4 sheet will be written on one side of the same, in computer, Times New Roman font, size 12, line spacing 1.5. The selected text can then be requested in Word version.
  • The participant must include a sealed envelope, stating the following aspects: a) on the front: title and pseudonym, b) inside: a sheet containing personal data, address, contact, signature and clarification.
  • Works sent by email will not be accepted or fax as well as those presented after the deadline.
  • The works not selected will be returned within the two months following the knowledge of the Jury's decision. The Jury will be made up of three qualified members, whose names will be known at the time of the decision. The same will be by simple majority and with a substantiation opinion, within 30 days of the end of the Call. The Jury's decision will be final.
  • El prize It will consist of the publication in book form of the work that will be the winner. The Jury may award an honorable mention and, if it considers it so, the Award may be declared void.
  • Any other question not contemplated in these rules will be resolved between the Jury and the organizing body.
  • The works will be received until Monday, November 23 Of current year. They can be presented at Parque Estancia La Quinta, Los Zorzales s / n, from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 14:30 p.m. The Jury will be issued within 25 days of the call.
