An English writer comes to Athens in the summer to teach writing courses. During this period, the people she meets decide to open up to her and tell her about the most important aspects of their lives. born-to-run

Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run"

Random House Literature - September 27 - 576 pages

In 2009, Bruce Springsteen and the E. Street Band performed during the Super Bowl intermission. The experience was so wonderful that Bruce decided to write about it, and thus began this autobiography.

In the last 7 years, Bruce Springsteen has dedicated himself to writing the story of his life, incorporating the honesty, humor and originality of his songs into these pages. In this biography you can find a lot of information about the author and his vision of the key moments in his life, as well as explaining why the song “Born to run” reveals much more than we think.

“Writing about oneself is something very curious. […] But in a project like this the writer makes a promise: to show his mind to the reader. And that is what I have tried to do in these pages "

"Tears in the sea" by Ruta Sepetys

Editorial Maeva - September 28 - 336 pages

The author of “Between shades of gray”, Ruta Sepetys, is back with a new novel that seems to get the same good reviews as the one mentioned above.

Summarizing the story could be simple since, in the words of the author, this was the origin of her latest novel:

"A cousin of my father was about to board the Wilhelm Gustloff and asked me to give a voice to those who died believing that their stories had sunk with them"

The Wilhelm Gustloff is associated with the greatest maritime tragedy in history. In it traveled more than 9.000 people who ended up in the middle of the siege to which eastern Europe was subjected during the Second World War. In this story, the author gives voice to four young people whose paths cross on this ship.
