Generally, when we read a book, we do not usually know what the author had in mind for that story, how it changed from what he had in mind. That is what has happened with the different statements made at the time by JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter saga, answering some answers and clarifying why certain things happen, as well as what the end of some characters would be.
